This device, which continuously measures strip thickness, can be installed directly on roller mills with automatic winder reels. It is composed of a measuring head and a control panel.
The instrument’s measuring head is height adjustable and oscillates to ensure measurement accuracy even when the strip is not parallel to the support base.
The digital display on the control panel instantly provides an alphanumerical reading of the strip thickness. A light bar shows strip thickness variations compared to set values, and a maximum and minimum limit can be set. An acoustic warning (incorporated alarm) can be activated if the measurement passes the pre-set limits. The device requires electrical power and compressed air.
